Iran Set To Stun the world February 11th

Just watched BBC news address this.....fantastic.

Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.

So what does this mean, EXACTLY?

fykusfireScrybe is what I would deem a genius. Of course with that said, there is a fine line between genius and insanity, and Scrybe is eating that line like spaghetti.

Let me not exist for a fair desire sweet and fresh.

Ya some people *cough* Ende *cough* claimed I was paranoid when I brought this up in another thread, as usual they were wrong. Again, I expect a possible nuclear weapons test, what with Iranian leaders upping the ante on the nuclear program and Russia offering their aid. Anyone *cough* Ende *cough* that can't connect the dots and see that this is a bad situation is living in a fucking fairyland.

allelesfailedSo what does this mean, EXACTLY?

What exactly do you think it means, gee Iran has been spitting in Obama's face since he was elected, are laughing at the UN as the continue to aggressively build a nuclear program, have made it obvious they would attack Israel with nuclear weapons no matter what the response, have brutally killed their own people when they protest, etc. It's pretty obvious that whatever is going to happen it's going to be bad for everyone, we can only hope that either it's stopped or ends up blowing up in their faces.

allelesfailedSo what does this mean, EXACTLY?

that...

a. you can either continue living your life and make the best out of it knowing that any day can be your last one....and accept that wars have been here since the beginning of time and we haven't done anything to change it.

OR

b. get paranoid and spend the rest of your sad life making threads about your inner fears and paranoias...letting this consuming your life.

P.S: hey 50, try ricola for that cough, man.

i hurt where i can't feel, i feel where i can't hurt
i know where i can't know, i bleed for me and mine.

Acknowledging that a country is up to something major and that it might be connected to their widely publicized nuclear program attempts is not paranoia, it also has nothing to do with inner fears. What it is is looking at the reality of the situation, something liberals like you fail at on a day to day basis. I'm aware we will never escape the seemingly endless cycle of war, whether just or unjust, but I'm not just going to ignore it entirely, it is in fact okay to discuss these events and have some concern for our own well-being and that of others. But you're an Obama supporter, so I'm not surprised by your mentality by any means, it is the same as your fool of a leader.

Yay religion!!!

You dorks who think Iran is going to cause ANY problems with nuclear weapons are just fear-mongers.

I have three words for you:

Mutually Assured Destruction

The patience we have shown no others can fare. Our story is the one only few can compare. We will both exchange a smile, when we tell the kids our trials. This is what we have inspired. No matter what our fate I will always be yours. On those days I turned away, you were always my world. Wait for the time when, we're right, I can feel it inside. My God we've waited so long. I doubt anything will happen like 50 is suggesting. I doubt there will be a nuclear weapons test and I doubt they will bomb any country. Why? Because why the fuck would they mention it as such? If they did such a thing, they know that they would be destroyed, and I doubt they are on a country-wide suicide mission.

Your idea that it's our job to babysit other countries that are NO THREAT to us is absurd. There are terrorists in our country, there are terrorists in other countries. Iran, as a country, poses no threat to the US, and in the odd chance that something did happen, they would be annihilated.

The opinion and banter you shove down your throat 50 is to make you not think twice when our government gives some excuse using fear tactics to invade and take over another country. Iran is a threat! They should be stopped, good guys vs. bad guys! It's not like that, grow up.

You should read up on their leader's religious beliefs, even if he knew he and everyone in his country would be killed for nuking Israel he would still do it because he believes that that action and his death is how he reaches his version of heaven. They may not pose a threat to the US directly, but you're fooling yourself if you don't think that they still pose some sort of a threat against us, Israel IS an ally or have we swallowed the "Israel is SO evil" pill, the fact is that a nuclear attack anywhere in the world would change our entire global existence significantly, regardless of whether it happened in the US or not. I'm not suggesting some global police kind of deal, but if it quacks like a duck and we all know that no one else in the world is going to do a fucking thing, then gee, maybe some sort of action should occur. MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION PLAYS NO ROLE IN AHMADINEJAD'S DECISIONS.

We should go after the terrorists in our country too, but first people have to acknowledge them for what they are instead of referring to them as mere criminals who had nervous breakdowns.

Quite frankly, if you all want to regurgitate your happy little "the government is just pushing fear man" crap then be my guest, but when a man threatens to blow Israel off the map, then moves on with a nuclear program that even the pansy fucking UN doesn't want them doing then maybe we should consider that he might be fucking insane and actually do something crazy. You would think having your personal army slaughter people protesting you might raise some alarms, but everyone here either thinks that everything is just fearmongering to push needless war or that we should just go outside and pick flowers. Both sides of the fence are wrong.

I never thought I'd say this, but fuck Ron Paul for spurring on all this goddamn retarded crap. I regret ever supporting him.

Have you ever sat down and wondered...

"Hey, how about if i'm wrong...maybe the reason why everybody seems to be against me is because i'm the problem?"

or your ego is so maxed out that there's no space for these kind of thoughts?

or to even at least try to act like a man instead of a rambling idiot?

Fuck Ron Paul? after you were quoting him and being his #1 fan?...Man, you're weak as shit...

You change principles and mentality like changing underwear...and you still SERIOUSLY think that somebody with a right mind is going to hear you or share your opinion? and this has nothing to do with me being an Obama supporter or you being a Republican, cause honestly you're WAY TOO FAR from being a decent Republican.

phhhffftttt.....Go write on your palm or something, man.

i hurt where i can't feel, i feel where i can't hurt
i know where i can't know, i bleed for me and mine.

I'm too far from being a decent Republican? What the fuck does that even mean, you really need to work on making sense or not talking out of your ass, but that's beside the point. Sure, I was a big Ron Paul supporter, but then that whole thing started getting a little too off, and the bottom line is that he's too far from reality in several of his beliefs, as I learned over time, that I could no longer support him, and I think that's proof that I CAN change my mind.

If you all want to figure out ways in your head to justify ignoring Iran or find ways to support their agenda then that's fine with me, but you ARE wrong. I thought history taught us that these kinds of leaders and nations are dangerous and that appeasing them doesn't work, I guess it's convenient to just ignore history's lessons.

You of all people also have no authority to judge my manhood or to call me a "rambling idiot," you are at a childish and immature level only beaten by the likes of Ansley and your posts read like a schizophrenic 8 year old's, the fact that Corrie stands by your side time and time again while voicing her frustration with Ans just blows my mind.

EDIT: By the way, the polls will tell you a majority of America agrees with my opinions and beliefs, you are the minority, not me.

Polls are bullshit and you know that. They are random surveys of like 500-1000 people based on carefully worded questions then spit out as talking points.

Oh and since it's already a day ahead over there Iran "shocked" us by saying they have further enriched uranium for energy use. And the west continues to impose sanctions. Nobody got attacked. No bombs were tested. You got all worked up for nothing.

Too much stupid shit to respond to in here.

First of all, JER, I know you're hip blogs and Ron Paul buddies are telling you polls don't mean much and it's all "talking points" but there's very good unbiased polls that go on out there, they aren't all rigged like you seem to think. It's funny that you come in here and tell me I'm being lied to and shit without even knowing what I watch, read, or listen to all the while you sit on the other end of the spectrum, convinced that everything is out there to purposefully mislead us.

Freek, your apathy towards anything that happens makes me pretty apathetic towards whatever stupid bullshit you have to say. Half that list was obviously crap, the only people that thought SARS was a big deal were fucking idiots, same with both of the flus, and anyone with half a brain has known "climate change" is complete crap since the beginning. Iran and Iraq were/are threats to the globe, just because we might not be directly affected doesn't mean they aren't a threat. By why am I bothering with you, you don't even give enough of a shit to care who gets elected as president in this country, I'm sure you could careless what got nuked, who got attacked, who died, etc. as long as it didn't directly involve you.

Ende and Ansley, go fuck yourselves, but hey Ansley, at least you can sleep well at night knowing you're not nearly as fucking stupid and redundant as Ende proves to be 90% of the time he posts. The moron still thinks I watch Fox News and will still claim that he never brings it up.

Now...with that all off my back, I'm HAPPY that I was wrong, I'm HAPPY that this was only an announcement about weapon grade uranium capabilities by Iran, but I'm not foolish enough to still see this as a significant step forward with Iran's nuclear program. I know all you dolts either don't care or don't see the big deal, but it is startling at the least and extraordinarily dangerous at the most that a madman who has made his agenda pretty clear can now officially make nuclear weapons. Hopefully Israel does what our failure of a President won't and takes care of this problem.

I don't really read anything but glance over mainstream news articles, and no, not every poll is there to mislead us, but it's a pretty shitty thing to base your opinion on.

Your fanaticism fails to look at the reality of anything, not necessarily your opinions. You just listen to too much heated opinion and it shows in the way you talk and act about politics in general. You're just regurgitating whatever is forced down your throat.

Yeah I supported Ron Paul, like you did. Because I really believed in him as a politician, and that's the best you can do. It's not like I am digging through the campaign for liberty's Web site and then coming on here and being like "OMG GUYS FEDERAL RESERVE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX OMG!!!!!@!!!!!" Though I would gladly debate those topics, but that is pretty much what you sound like. You sound exactly like Rush Limbaugh or Bill Oriely, and not so much because you have those opinions but just in the way you compose yourself by saying "you liberals" etc.

Oh and now that the 11th is over, I just thought I would quote this here to show what a nutcase you sound like

Quote:Ya some people *cough* Ende *cough* claimed I was paranoid when I brought this up in another thread, as usual they were wrong. Again, I expect a possible nuclear weapons test, what with Iranian leaders upping the ante on the nuclear program and Russia offering their aid. Anyone *cough* Ende *cough* that can't connect the dots and see that this is a bad situation is living in a fucking fairyland.

I didn't stop supporting Ron Paul because of some dumb conspiracy shit, I don't fall in to that crap, you should know better. I stopped supporting him because I don't agree with him about all that much anymore, his emphasis on blowback for instance I've come to disagree with quite a bit.

I still stand by that comment I made, connect the dots, unstable man who has had many of his own people killed or tortured for opposing him by his own army, who states time and time again that he wants to wipe Israel off the planet, whose religion rules out MAD entirely, who continues to push forward with a nuclear program that even the left leaning UN disagrees with, and who just now has the capabilities of finally making a nuclear weapon is not something to not care about or to look as not that big of a deal. Again, how many times does the guy have to spell it out to the world and go through the steps one at a time necessary to reach his end goal before someone cares and does something, or it will we only act when it's too late?

EDIT: Besides, even if Ahminejad isn't crazy enough to use nukes himself, there's nothing to stop him from selling the weapons to people that will. There are quite a few people in the intelligence fields that will tell you it's not a matter of "if" a nuclear attack will happen again, but "when."

If Iran tries something we and/or Israel will turn it into a parking lot. I'm not losing sleep over it. Iran is like the little 5 year old that says, "You'll Be Sorry" but has no way to back it up.

Freek, you need to check out what an EMP could do to the country and how easy it would be for any sized country to pull it off with a medium sized boat and a single black-market Russian nuke.

If there is any sort of nuclear attack against us it will NOT be under the banner of an individual nation, it will be carried out by a multinational terrorist group and there will be no political will to nuke any individual nation(s), and possibly no actual ability if the EMP works correctly.

I'm not saying this is a reason to invade Iran or anything like that. In fact, I'm more towards Ron Paul's camp of radical withdrawal and focusing on intelligence and really high-tech nuclear defense and infrastructure redundancy building.

But to pretend that there aren't any real threats out there is, in my opinion, extremely naive.

Man, you're just frothing at the mouth with anger aren't you? What do you suggest we do with Iran? I don't think anybody in their right mind wants to attack them.

The reason i don't give a shit about who the president is, is because we don't have a choice. We have two people that get propped up by the establishment and we're supposed to choose like there's some huge difference. If i had a choice, hell yeah I'd love Ron Paul in there and i voted for him in the primaries and the general election. Please tell me what McCain would be doing different? Stimulus? nope he supported that. Bailouts? Nope he supported that. Surge in Afghanistan? Nope. Tarp? Nope.... the list goes on.

BTW, you try to sound like an independent, but a ton of your arguments come damn near word for word from Sean Hannity and Glen Beck.

First of all the Heritage Foundation is a well known right-wing think tank, so it's hard to take them seriously, but i'll play along.

Do i think Iran can cause damage? Yes. Do i think they can cause any more than China, Russia, North Korea, or Saudi Arabia? No. The point is, with technology growing, sooner or later everybody will have the power to destroy everybody else.

You people are so silly for just now realizing he doesn't say anything on his own volition.

This time we took, we'll go far...

I'm more worried about the weather changes, the crops that are being lost all over the country, the alarming decreasing of all the drinking water sources, the imminent state of chaos...

Worrying about money, wars and politics is futile.

What the fuck are we going to do when there's nothing to eat or drink? or when the paranoid finally kicks in an a whole country used to have everything done and that ignore all this shit while they were too busy watching "Jersey Shore"?
