So...

Ooh that's a local treasure you dug up.
Kelley Scott was the member who went on to Underoath, Further, Affix Bayonets, Maylene (and was the singer for Malayne, the indie rock band that pre-dated Maylene, I almost wound up playing keys for them). I haven't heard of the two other bands in that list, but who knows, maybe those were his projects too.
I never knew much about Carry the Dead, but I remember the singer's anguished style, he supplied the vocals for the last section of the song Act of Depression by Underoath.

Downloading now, thanxies.

...damn, I just realized Dallas was the second vocalist for Carry the Dead, never noticed that before.

it's a shame Carry The Dead didn't last longer. i don't even know if they released anything other than this split there's absolutely nothing to be found on the net, info wise, and that's crazy.

So...

I *may* have seen them live once.
It was a show in Ocala, UO was the headliner.
Changing of the Times was a month away from release, and I overheard Dallas telling someone how they were moving away from metal, and I was greatly disheartened.
As I Lay Dying opened, they were still a no-name Zao ripoff band.
After Underoath's set, as everyone started to leave, they announced there was still another band. That's when a group cobbled from a few of the bands that played that night took the stage to play a few more songs, it was two-vocalists, including Dallas.

good story. thanks. i can't say this enough and in this day and age it's very surprising that there's literally nothing about them on the net i mean even if the band members themselves don't contribute anything for one reason or another there's always some psycho fan who'll make tribute websites of some sort.. i always liked Carry The Dead on this split but thinking about them more often recently it makes me think there's some great conspiracy, a cover up.. some area 51 type BS going on haha anyway.. it's become quite intriguing to me lately.
