And aren't I a friend of you on myspace? I have only logged on myspace maybe 2 times in the last year.

Ummm.. I have a newly found obsession with snakes. Started with one, then had seven, then one died (sad), now have six (including a red tail boa that just tried to eat my face off). I recently broke up with my boyfriend of six years. Now hate my life. Work at a nursing home. Hate my life even more.

And, yea, we're buds on myspace I believe. And I just logged in yesterday for the first time in years to send Brendon a message.

How big is your RTB? They're awesome, but the whole 13' in length thing kind of freaks me out.

She's a juvenile as of now - about 1.5-2 ft in length, weighing around 220 grams. As long as she follows her eating regiment, she should reach about 8-9' in length within the next couple of years.

Time for some snake science!
She isn't the species Boa constrictor constrictor - she is Boa constrictor imperator. Which makes all the difference. BCC common red tails are normally Peruvian - much larger. Mine, more than likely, but unsure of this, is a Colombian RTB. Which means she will be muuuuch smaller than13-15'. :D

EDIT:
And no, she's only eating rats for now. She's nowhere near large enough for larger prey. She's still practically a baby. Her birth date was last year in April. She should be much larger than she is, but her previous owners were assholes - underfed her, never filled her miniscule, way-too-tiny, water dish, and never loved on her like her beauty deserves.

Last night was feed night. So I have very recent pictures of her!


I love it when she slurps the tail like it's spaghetti.. Haha
